I have to say that I am absolutely biased since I own and regularly use several TYMO hair stylers. I had this dryer brush on my wish list for a while, so I was very excited to finally try it out. I started with my hair about 60 percent dry. I sectioned it into four to five horizontal sections, applied a heat protectant and a blow dry specific spray, and got to work. It took me about 20 minutes to do my entire head, and not once did it feel uncomfortable in my hands. This hair dryer brush is very quiet, with a noise level comparable to my regular “supersonic” hair dryer. What I loved most about this brush is that I was able to smooth each section afterward using the black side of the brush, which eliminated all the remaining frizz, especially around the roots. It left my hair super shiny, smooth, and polished. The results also lasted. I usually wash and dry my hair once a week, and my hair stayed smooth and straight all the way until my next wash. This brush was so easy and fast to use that I honestly regret not getting it sooner. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a quicker and easier way to blow dry your hair at home.

This TYMO 5-in-1 hair dryer brush has a sleek, clean silver design and is surprisingly quiet and lightweight. The cord is conveniently extra long, it has three temperature settings, and the barrel offers a flat-ironing side and a blow-drying, volumizing side. I have long, wavy but fine chemically treated hair that’s prone to frizz. Drying my hair with a traditional dryer and ceramic brush usually takes about 15–20 minutes, so when I saw the claim that this works “3x faster,” I didn't stop to think - faster than what? As it turns out, certainly not than my pro-quality dryer. I found the combo barrel difficult to use, especially near the roots where it was largely ineffective. It also felt overly complicated to rotate the tool with my free hand and go over the same section multiple times just to achieve smoother, softer results. The 5-in-1 claim suggests it replaces a hair dryer, straightener, curler, hot comb, and volumizer, but to me this was a jack of all trades, master of none. The 500M ions also did nothing exceptional to reduce the frizz. I do still use this TYMO brush for quick style refreshes, but it won’t be replacing any of my existing styling tools. Overall, it’s decent, but not an amazing value for the money.

It does not make your hair flat. I had a blow dryer brush that left my hair flat and it would get so hot that it would burn my ear at times.

One little nuisance I don’t like is the power button. If your hands are a little wet it’s a little challenging to turn it on. It’s located on the base of the handle. See picture attached. Other than that it’s great. I would definitely buy again.

I love everything about this brush. Photo is a quick brush through on low heat that only took about 10 minutes. My roots were pin straight. I could probably have straightened from root to tip completely if I used high heat. It dries and stretches my hair so well I could literally go out without having to follow up with a straightener if I wanted to.

The design of the brush concentrates airflow so that it dries quicker and more evenly with much less heat. Plus having a smaller barrel makes holding it much easier than a traditional thermal brush. My hand doesn’t cramp holding this.

This is such an affordable, easy to use option in lieu of more expensive brands. And I absolutely love the temperature control placement. On my old thermal brush I was always accidentally sliding the switch up to high instead of low, but since this temperature control is a dial on the bottom of the brush, it’s impossible to accidentally change the temperature.
